Single Release from The Leagues of Decency

Entitled “We’re coming down from the hillside”, this is the second single from the forthcoming Leagues of Decency Album ‘a sailors tale’(be released on DrunkenLustRecords on 30 th Nov 2017). The song tells of visitations by cave-dwelling creatures of uncertain pedigree as they rampage through shivering, moonlit towns and villages. ( Video Contains footage from the legendary Swedish/Danish 1922 horror/documentary 'Haxan' ). The leagues of Decency are the long term studio/side project of EJ Cotter (the holy sparks!!!, the bastard rain). The forthcoming album’a sailor’s tale’ (due for release on 30 th Nov) marks a departure from the largely instrumental 2012 release ‘EP’, and draws on a wide range of musical influences, from Trad to electronica, to stitch together a stirring tale of adventure, terror, and loss as it charts the journeys and transitions of the eponymous sailor as he makes his perilous journey there and back again…. ….the album will be launched...

The long awaited solo album from Earl Mustard is finally online and available! Frank Mcnamees on Drugs (dlr009) by THE EARL MUSTARD SHOWBAND The Earl Mustard Showband –Frank McNamees on Drugs (DLR009) As one half (and occasionally on third) of cult art-punk band Hoovers and Sledgehammers Earl Mustard (aka visual artist James Mongey) was responsible for some of the more surreal moments in the Dublin DIY scene. They were a band whose singular style could alienate and enthral in equal quantities – and whose works were underpinned by a strong thread of the blackest humour. That humour is evident in spades on his debut release, alongside claustrophobic visions of suburban existence (nasty neighbours and family feuds, howya chicken, toxic friends), surreal diversions (the Philadelphia experiment), straight up love songs (white skin and the architecture), and all out rants (napoleon complex).
